About Me
I'm Ruby, a 23 year old Filipino-Canadian creator and Art School honors graduate. I'm on a mission to build an honest, sustainable art business free from predatory marketing and misleading content. I've built a community on YouTube and Discord aiming to open the conversation on art business, conscious consumerism, and the pitfalls of art content. This is a place for artists of any kind to share their thoughts and discuss with other artists, we hope you stick around!
My Art Practice
I currently work with acrylic paint, polymer clay, and ceramics. I make charms, pins, keychains, and original paintings. I'm inspired by nature, especially mushrooms and forest animals! I love warm palettes and colorful underpainting that peeks through the image like a glowing light.
Since graduating from art school, I've shifted my focus from studio art to crafting since I love small trinkets. I'm also more interested in art business rather than galleries, so I want to make things for everyday use and enjoyment!
